Apo On the Wall : Person's Father Character Sketch 

Apo on the wall by Bj Patino could be a poem that talks about the narration of a child's point of see about his rigorous Father and the hanging photo around the wall called “Apo”. The poem tells the reality of life amid the ruling of Marcos alongside with the Military Law.

Wearing his green uniform with colored breast plates, where to describe that the persona's father is a soldier. He has a high government position. Definitely, he works really hard. Proves from his stuffs at home in his office like wall guns, plaques, a sword, medals a rifle. 

His intimidating aura creeps out for his child. For his authoritative calm voice with gentle word, a good - nature meaningful smile seems can work wonders and accomplish miracles. At his glance, stares like a sharp knives striking towards you. As he stand strongly and walk firmly seems to look a decent man. A very disciplinarian, serious, and oozing father with strong appeal. He's extremely shows a great attention to detail, very careful and precise person to the point that his child saw sneaking around his office. 

Clearly, I can feel that the persona's realtionship with his father is distant. From the reasons that may not have good communication and a child surrounded by fear of being snapped at or scolded upon. 

Moreover, Apo which the man's photo on a wall look a like of Ferdinand Marcos. A wise man, powerful, kleptocrat and dictator himself. The persona's father is loyal servant, valiant follower and executor of his master's command.Thus, whatever Apo decided to do, the persona’s father will surely follow. No one jumped or escaped, everyone was aggrieved. Absolutely Apo is a like scary Jesus in the hallway, saying " I know what you're doing ". This connotes the feeling of the Filipinos who were afraid over the power and authority Marcos’s dictatorship. Their fear is self-imposed prison that kept them from having their human rights, freedom of speech and voice of justice.

Indeed, persona's father is strict, to his child. Loyal and obedient to his commander.
